About the Collection
The Margins is ongoing. Its materials may change. The invitation remains the same: look again.
I began painting things people usually walk past.
Fallen leaves. Torn pages. Small pieces of the world that had already served their original purpose.
I began wondering what might happen if, instead of discarding them, I gave them the center. The Margins grew from that question.
Each numbered work combines painting with natural or found materials, and each is accompanied by an original song. Together, the artwork and music tell one small story about what can happen when something overlooked is seen again.
The Latin titles offer another layer: a word to turn over, translate, question, or simply carry away. Not everything is explained. The Margins leaves room in the margins.
